The lessons here for Sunday School on 12th February 2017 review the events of the day we know as Palm Sunday.  Our materials focus on the accounts in Mark 11:1-10 and Luke 19:28-40.

I’d like to invite and encourage you to listen to the sermon from the 1st Sunday in Advent. It looks at the Palm Sunday record from Matthew 21:1-9.  The sermon audio includes some thoughts on predictive prophesy and Christ coming for the very purpose of fulfilling them, for you.  Reference is made to these same Triumphal Entry events recorded in the broader context of John 11 through 12:19, the resurrection of Lazarus.
Also, below is an excerpt of one of Martin Luther’s sermons, in the section where he expounds on the words “Your King comes to you.” Zoom in on the photos, if you need, as this section helps show that it is not we who seek out the Lord, but the good news of this King who has come to find us.  Some wonderful comfort and peace to be found here.  Enjoy some fine vintage Luther:
